The Arkansas Times and the Arkansas Cannabis Industry Association will host the Medical Marihuana and CBD Wellness Expo on August 27 at the Northwest Arkansas Convention Center in Springdale.
The event will feature an exhibit hall with booths from many of the state’s dispensaries, CBD companies and doctors focused on using medical marijuana to treat a variety of symptoms. Companies represented in the exhibit hall will have representatives on hand to discuss their products and answer questions.
The event will also feature panel discussions with industry leaders from grow facilities, dispensaries, processors, regulatory agencies and more. Many debates will examine the status and impact of Arkansas’ adult-use cannabis amendment, a recreational marijuana amendment that has been tentatively placed on the November ballot. The Supreme Court will decide in the coming months whether the votes on the measure should be counted.
Tickets to the event are $10 and include lunch. They are available at centralarkansastickets.com.
On Saturday, Brian Nichol, MD of Interventional Pain Consultants will talk about “A Quick Guide to Using Medical Cannabis” and Trevor Swedenburg of Natural State Medicinals will do a THC cooking demonstration (using CBD, of course). Eddie Armstrong and Steve Lancaster, president of Responsible Growth Arkansas and attorney with Wright Lindsey Jennings representing the recreational marijuana amendment, will discuss the amendment’s potential impact on the state.
The ReLeaf Center Dispensary and Farm, Good Day Farms and Face2Face Therapy will have work sessions on Saturday. Lunch is FREE with event admission. Panelists and presenters include: Purspirit Cannabis Co, Healing Hemp of Arkansas, CBD & Me, Ozark MMJ Cards, The Source, Ouachita Farms, Liberty Defense Group, Osage Creek Dispensary, Enlightened Dispensaries, AA Analytics, Frost, PLLC, HypnosVR , Wright Lindsey Jennings and Arkansas NORML.
