Earlier on Tuesday, the <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.marijuanamoment.net\/house-will-vote-on-marijuana-banking-reform-as-part-of-defense-bill\/\"><span>House Rules Committee<\/span><\/a><span> cleared the measure for&nbsp; floor consideration, but the panel blocked separate amendments to expand research on the benefits of psychedelics for active duty military members and to protect veterans from being denied home loans because they work in the cannabis industry.<\/span><span><br \/><\/span><span><br \/><\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.marijuanamoment.net\/amazon-reaffirms-support-for-marijuana-legalization-and-says-former-workers-punished-over-cannabis-are-eligible-for-employment\/\"><span>Amazon<\/span><\/a><span> reiterated its support for legalizing marijuana and said it will reinstate eligibility for employees and applicants who were previously punished for positive cannabis tests. Curiously, though, the company claimed in a letter to senators that it has no view on marijuana \u201cregulation, permitting, taxation, and interstate commerce.\u201d<\/span><span><br \/><\/span><span><br \/><\/span><span>The <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.marijuanamoment.net\/california-state-fair-will-host-marijuana-competition-for-the-first-time-at-2022-event-officials-announce\/\"><span>California State Fair &amp; Expo<\/span><\/a><span> will host a first-of-its-kind, state-sanctioned cannabis competition and awards show at next year\u2019s event.<\/span><span><br \/><\/span><span><br \/><\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.marijuanamoment.net\/new-york-officials-say-marijuana-tax-revenue-will-help-fill-budget-gap-from-declining-cigarette-sales\/\"><span>New York\u2019s budget director<\/span><\/a><span> projected in a new quarterly fiscal update that growing marijuana revenue will help offset an ongoing decline in taxes from cigarette sales.<\/span><span><br \/><\/span><span><br \/><\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.marijuanamoment.net\/former-gop-congresswoman-touts-psilocybin-as-treatment-for-alcoholism\/\"><span>Former Rep.
