But, unfortunately, the complicated process for licensing producers for its adult recreational cannabis program could very well affect the price of pot in Connecticut.<\/p>\n<p>Since recreational cannabis became legal in Connecticut on June 16, 2021, various town officials throughout the state have made it clear they are not interested in pursuing the sale of recreational marijuana in their town, and they are:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Clinton<\/li>\n<li>Guilford<\/li>\n<li>Madison<\/li>\n<li>North Branford<\/li>\n<li>Enfield<\/li>\n<li>Milford<\/li>\n<li>Greenwich<\/li>\n<li>Newtown<\/li>\n<li>Prospect<\/li>\n<li>Avon<\/li>\n<li>Southington<\/li>\n<li>Ridgefield<\/li>\n<li>Danbury<\/li>\n<li>Orange<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>According to Hearst Connecticut Media, some of these CT towns have made up their minds&nbsp;to ban the sale of recreational pot altogether, and some have passed a one-year moratorium to give planners time to sit back and digest Connecticut&#8217;s&nbsp;new adult cannabis law.<\/p>\n<p>According to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.greenmarketreport.com\/verano-leans-into-connecticut-with-acquisitions\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">greenmarketreport.com<\/a>,&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/verano.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Verano Holdings Corp<\/a>. is making some moves in Connecticut by acquiring <a href=\"https:\/\/www.caringnaturedispensary.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Caring Nature, LLC<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ctpharma.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Connecticut Pharmaceutical Solutions, Inc.<\/a>&nbsp;Retail sales of recreational marijuana in Connecticut have been targeted&nbsp;at the end of 2022.<\/p>\n<p>There&#8217;s a<a href=\"https:\/\/www.schiffhardin.com\/insights\/publications\/2021\/cannabis-legalization-in-key-states-connecticut-becomes-fifth-state-in-2021-to-legalize-recreational-marijuana\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"> long list of rules and regulations<\/a>&nbsp;as in 54 pages of specific policies about obtaining a license to sell legal weed in Connecticut, along with a hefty price tag.
