The inventory system is a product of Consultants Consortium Inc. and its partner Forian.<\/p>\n<p>DCP Commissioner Michelle H. Seagull said the information will allow state <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ganjapreneur.com\/topic\/regulation\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">regulators<\/a> \u201cto see what is currently available in both markets, project future inventory, and identify any potential diversion in the markets.\u201d<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>\u201cBeing able to track the state\u2019s cannabis inventory from seed to sale will allow the department to monitor cannabis production and inventory as it moves from the earliest phases of growth to when it reaches the qualifying patient or consumer.\u201d <em>\u2014 <\/em>Seagull to Westfair<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Information collected by the BioTrack system will be used by the DCP and the Department of Revenue Services and will be made available to other entities, including law enforcement, as required under the state\u2019s adult-use cannabis law, which was <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ganjapreneur.com\/connecticut-senate-passes-legalization-bill-gov-plans-to-sign\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">approved by lawmakers<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ganjapreneur.com\/connecticut-gov-signs-legalization-bill-into-law\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">signed<\/a> by Gov.
