CLARKSBURG, W.Va. (WV News) \u2014 A 28-year-old Connecticut man is awaiting sentencing after Clarksburg Police recently arrested him on a Harrison County bench warrant.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

Harrison Circuit Judge James A. Matish had ordered Darean J. Soles arrested on sight Dec. 1. That\u2019s the day that Soles attended his sentencing hearing by phone instead of in person, causing the court to call off the proceeding and sign the bench warrant.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

Soles now will be sentenced next Monday on the original delivery of methamphetamine conviction, Matish ruled Tuesday.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

Clarksburg Detective Sgt. Laura McGlone served Soles with the fugitive warrant while investigating a suspicious vehicle, Assistant Prosecutor Brad Pustolski told the court.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

Soles initially gave McGlone a false name, but a database search of his fingerprints led the sergeant to the truth, Pustolski said.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

Soles remains jailed without bail.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

\u2014 Matish granted Deputy Defender Perry Jones\u2019 motion for a bond reduction for David Wayne Rockhold, 54, of Wood County, after the state didn\u2019t object.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

The court lowered bail from $10,000, 10\/90, to $5,000 in the same form.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

Rockhold still wouldn\u2019t immediately be able to post that amount, Jones told the court.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

Bridgeport Detective Lt. Gary Weaver charged Rockhold last fall with solicitation of a minor via computer. Weaver was conducting an internet sting by pretending to be a 15-year-old girl.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

\u2014 Kayla Lynn Jenkins, 27, of Philippi, has pleaded guilty before U.S. Magistrate Judge Michael John Aloi to distribution of methamphetamine in August 2020 in Barbour County.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

Assistant U.S. Attorney Brandon Flower represents U.S. Attorney William J. Ihlenfeld II. The Mountain Region Drug Task Force and the ATF investigated.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

\u2014 Perry Grant Himes, 39, of Barbour County, has waived his probable cause hearing before Harrison Magistrate Frank DeMarco on a charge alleging felony threats of terrorist acts.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

Himes said he was \u201cgoing on a mass shooting spree and death by a cop will finally be his end,\u201d a court filing alleges.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

\u2014 Erik Joseph Wilson, 35, of Clarksburg, has waived his probable cause hearing before Harrison Magistrate Warren \u201cGizzy\u201d Davis on charges of possession with intent to deliver and begin a felon in possession of a concealed firearm.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

Wilson had fentanyl, a loaded gun, a drug cutting agent and a digital scale during a traffic stop earlier this month in Clarksburg, Sgt. McGlone alleged.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\u2014 Marcus Tarel Ming, 32, of Niagara, New York, has waived his probable cause hearing before Harrison Magistrate Kevin Renzelli on a charge of possession with intent to deliver marijuana.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

Bridgeport Police Patrol Officer Isaac Thomas III charged Ming on Dec. 1 with possession with intent to deliver marijuana following a traffic stop on Interstate 79 southbound about a mile from the U.S. 50 interchange.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

Bridgeport Police Pfc. Scott Toothman deployed his police dog, which alerted; the ensuing search turned up 10.38 pounds of presumed marijuana in a blue bag in the trunk, along with about $407 in cash, Thomas alleged.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

The commander of the Greater Harrison Drug & Violent Crimes Task Force previously said the presumed marijuana would sell for about $3,500 per pound on the street.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

\u2014 Timothy Brian Ridenour, 22, of Stonewood, has pleaded guilty before Harrison Chief Judge Thomas A. Bedell to fraudulent schemes, according to the Office of Prosecutor Rachel Romano.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

Assistant Prosecutor Gina Renzelli retained the right to make a recommendation at sentencing, set March 4.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

\u2014 Dale Edward Lowther Jr., 41, of Mount Clare, has waived his probable cause hearing before DeMarco on a charge alleging unlawful entry of a building other than a dwelling.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

Lowther is accused of unlawful entry of a Salem garage; tools were stolen, the complaint alleges.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n
