They want to be seen smoking the best stuff, the stuff rappers brag about smoking.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><b>RELATED:&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.greenentrepreneur.com\/article\/374813\" rel=\"follow noopener\" target=\"_self\">Hey, what about the law to legalize&nbsp;marijuana&nbsp;in&nbsp;Mexico?<\/a><\/b><\/p>\n<h2><b>No more flinging weed across the U.S. border<\/b><\/h2>\n<p>Gone are the days when Mexican pot smugglers&nbsp;catapulted bushels of weed across the border&nbsp;using the world\u2019s largest slingshots, or when they&nbsp;stuffed vacuum-packed bricks into fruit shipments to slip across one of the longest&nbsp;(1,954 miles) and most&nbsp;frequently crossed land borders in the world.<\/p>\n<p>Several hundred yards from the busy&nbsp;Tijuana border, Josh Bubeckowner, of the&nbsp;Urbn Leaf&nbsp;cannabis dispensary, estimates some 55% of his customers are Mexican nationals \u2013 he told WAPO.<\/p>\n<p><b>RELATED:&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.greenentrepreneur.com\/article\/376966\" rel=\"follow noopener\" target=\"_self\">Violence, Drug Busts, and Black Market Weed Take Over California&#8217;s Desert Communities<\/a><\/b><\/p>\n<h2 id=\"california-weed:-nobody-grows-it-better\"><b>California weed: Nobody grows it&nbsp;better<\/b><\/h2>\n<p>\u201cNobody is going to grow cannabis better than California probably ever,\u201d Bubeck said.<\/p>\n<p>He noted that back in Mexico, especially for younger smokers, the appeal is clear: \u201cYou\u2019re showing \u2018This is what I\u2019m about. I\u2019m a bad ass. I got this from America.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n<p>For years,&nbsp;legalization advocates in Mexico&nbsp;argued that the country could easily establish a wildly profitable cannabis industry, but legalization came faster to&nbsp;parts of the U.S. \u2013 mostly importantly California \u2013 than its neighbor to the south.<\/p>\n<p>This July, Mexico\u2019s&nbsp;supreme court struck down laws that criminalized&nbsp;the cultivation of cannabis for personal use but&nbsp;have not yet approved legislation that would allow a commercial marijuana market to be set up, making it illegal to buy or sell cannabis and as impossible to regulate the quality of Mexican cannabis products available on the illegal market, noted WAPO.<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, Mexico still grapples with the&nbsp;task of setting up&nbsp;a legal framework for a plant that grows like a weed in the Mexican countryside.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<\/p><\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Gone are the days when pot smugglers would catapult bushels of weed using giant slingshots.
