It looks like they\u2019re using <a href=\"https:\/\/lcb.wa.gov\/sites\/default\/files\/publications\/rules\/2021%20Proposed%20Rules\/CR103_Memo_THC_Compound_Evaluation.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><span>new vaping additives rules<\/span><\/a> to handle D-8 questions\u2014essentially asserting the power to keep out harmful \u201cadditives, solvents, ingredients or compounds used in the production of marijuana products and prohibit use of substances determined to pose a risk to public health or youth access.\u201d&nbsp;<strong>What\u2019s this mean for D-8 in the Seattle streets? <\/strong>Very little for right now. Buy tested and legal in <a href=\"https:\/\/www.leafly.com\/dispensaries\/washington\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><span>licensed Washington stores<\/span><\/a>.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Kansas<\/strong> re-illegalized delta-8 THC by Attorney General\u2019s <span><a href=\"https:\/\/ag.ks.gov\/docs\/default-source\/ag-opinions\/2021\/2021-004.pdf?sfvrsn=791ea41a_6\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">decision<\/a><\/span> in December.<\/li>\n<li><strong>New York<\/strong> and <strong>Michigan<\/strong> have specifically restricted: delta-8, delta-10, THCV, THC-O, and delta-6a10a. The rest of the cannabinoids have the same legal status as CBD\/hemp for now.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Texas:<\/strong> A District Judge <span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.fwweekly.com\/2022\/01\/07\/texas-supreme-court-denies-dshs-request-to-ban-delta-8-thc\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">halted<\/a><\/span> the state\u2019s ban on D-8 in December. The state\u2019s Health Department <span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.axios.com\/local\/dallas\/2022\/01\/26\/delta-8-thc-legal-texas\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">stayed mute<\/a><\/span> on D-8 in January, Axios Reports. Head shops in Texas are <span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.axios.com\/local\/austin\/2022\/01\/28\/austin-shops-delta-8-legalization-marijuana-hemp\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">officially in limbo<\/a><\/span> pending appeals hearings.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Ohio <\/strong>has <span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.jdsupra.com\/legalnews\/a-quick-dab-ohio-seeks-to-codify-legal-5925349\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">moved to restrict<\/a><\/span> D-8 as well as D-1, -6, -3, -4, and -10 by classifying them all as a type of THC\u2014a controlled substance in the state. Most users also experienced \u201ca moderate amount or a lot of cognitive distortions such as difficulty concentrating (81%), difficulties with short-term memory (80%), and alerted sense of time (74%);\u201d but most also \u201cdid not experience anxiety (74%) or paranoia (83%).\u201d <\/li>\n<li>The above study, dubbed\u201cDelta-8-THC: Delta-9-THC\u2019s nicer younger sibling?,\u201d by <span><a href=\"https:\/\/theconversation.com\/can-delta-8-thc-provide-some-of-the-benefits-of-pot-with-less-paranoia-and-anxiety-175418\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Jessica S. Kruger and Daniel J. Kruger<\/a><\/span>\u2014researchers from the <span><a href=\"http:\/\/www.buffalo.edu\/news\/releases\/2022\/01\/009.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">University at Buffalo<\/a><\/span> and the University of Michigan\u2014also captured exactly <strong>how people are using delta-8<\/strong>.
