Ed Perlmutter (D-CO)<\/span><\/a><span> told Marijuana Moment he\u2019s in discussions with Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY) and Sen. His veto message calls for legalization instead and highlights how criminalization has a racially disproportionate impact.<\/span><span><br \/><\/span><span><br \/><\/span><span>A Seattle doctor filed a petition asking the <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.marijuanamoment.net\/seattle-doctor-files-dea-petition-to-reschedule-psilocybin-for-medical-use\/\"><span>Drug Enforcement Administration<\/span><\/a><span> to reschedule psilocybin. The move comes shortly after a federal court dismissed a lawsuit that he and two terminally ill cancer patients brought seeking access to the psychedelic for end-of-life care.<\/span><span><br \/><\/span><span><br \/><\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.marijuanamoment.net\/former-top-trump-aide-slams-south-carolina-republican-party-over-medical-marijuana-opposition\/\"><span>Former Trump White House Chief of Staff Mick Mulvaney<\/span><\/a><span> slammed his home state South Carolina Republican party in a new op-ed over its opposition to a popular GOP-led medical marijuana bill.<\/span><span><br \/><\/span><span><br \/><\/span><b>\/ FEDERAL<\/b><span><br \/><\/span><span><br \/><\/span><span>The <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.irs.gov\/pub\/irs-wd\/202205024.pdf\"><span>Internal Revenue Service<\/span><\/a><span> posted a memo clarifying that marijuana businesses are not eligible for the Work Opportunity Tax Credit due to 280E.<\/span><span><br \/><\/span><span><br \/><\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/news.yahoo.com\/we-have-the-best-cannabis-of-the-world-rep-nancy-mace-pushes-legal-weed-210717814.html\"><span>Rep. If we legalize marijuana and invest that tax revenue back into our communities, we can create thousands of good-paying jobs across Ohio.
