Banco and Margaret D. Rielly of Medfield, Mass. are happy to announce the engagement of their daughter, Darcy M. Banco to Donald E. Carnicky, son of the late John J. Carnicky Jr. and Judy Carnicky of Falmouth, Mass., formerly from Fairfield.<\/p>\n<p>Donald Carnicky graduated magna cum laude from Fairfield Prep in 2011 where he played four years of varsity hockey and was captain his senior year. He graduated magna cum laude from Boston College in 2015 with a degree in economics and philosophy. He played four years of club hockey. He will graduate from Columbia University School of Business in May 2022 and has accepted a position as an investment banker for Evercore Inc. in New York City beginning in August.<\/p>\n<p> <!-- Missed: ad --> <\/p>\n<p>Darcy Banco graduated cum laude from Noble and Greenough School in Dedham, Mass. in 2010 where she played four years of varsity soccer and hockey and was captain of the soccer team her senior year. She graduated from Washington University in St. Louis, MO. in 2014 with a degree in anthropology. She played four years of varsity soccer and was team captain her senior year. Darcy was named University Athletic Association Academic all-league 2011-2013. She graduated from Tufts Medical School in 2018 with an MD\/MPH degree. She completed her Internal Medicine Residency in 2021 at NYU Grossman School of Medicine in New York City where she is currently chief resident of the medical service. She will begin her cardiology fellowship at NYU Grossman School of Medicine in July 2022.<\/p>\n<p> <!-- Missed: ad --> <\/p>\n<p>The wedding and reception are planned for June 10 at The Boston Harbor Hotel in Boston, Mass.<\/p>\n<h2> <strong>Sacred Heart University receives program grant<\/strong> <\/h2>\n<p>Sacred Heart University has received a Lilly Fellows Program grant to develop, and host a three-day regional \u201cVatican II and Catholic Higher Education: Leading Forward,\u201d conference next fall.<\/p>\n<aside class=\"article--content-inline\">\n<aside class=\"zone\"> <!-- hearst\/home\/mostPopular.tpl --> <!--e hearst\/home\/mostPopular.tpl --><!-- src\/business\/widgets\/hearst\/collection\/widget.tpl --> <!-- e src\/business\/widgets\/hearst\/collection\/widget.tpl --><\/aside>\n<\/aside>\n<p>Thinkers, writers and leaders will gather to discuss the Second Vatican Council and Catholic higher education at the event. Devlin has a special Valentine&#8217;s Day delivery<\/strong> <\/h2>\n<p>In what has become an annual Valentine&#8217;s Day tradition, state Rep. Laura Devlin recently worked with two of the elementary schools in the state\u2019s 134th House District: Burr Elementary in Fairfield, and Frenchtown Elementary in Trumbull.
