Singapore’s tallest skyscraper, measuring 305m, will be in the CBD<\/h2>\n

The Central Business District (CBD) is no stranger to sky-high buildings. Walking or walking past one skyscraper after another, one could imagine the streets of metropolitan cities like New York and the like.<\/p>\n

Adding to the skyline is an upcoming tower on Shenton Way that will rise to 63 storeys.<\/p>\n

The building is expected to become the tallest skyscraper in Singapore, standing at 305m.<\/p>\n

The CBD skyscraper will be taller than the Guoco tower<\/h3>\n

Seconds ChannelNews Asia (CNA)<\/a>the Urban Redevelopment Authority (URA) has approved plans to construct the new building in the CBD.<\/p>\n

They have also seen documents indicating that the building will rise to 305m, apparently the maximum height that can be approved by the URA.<\/p>\n

This will surpass the height of Singapore’s current tallest building, the Guoco Tower, which stands at 248m.<\/p>\n

The development will be built on the site currently occupied by the 50-storey AXA tower.<\/p>\n

The location was once the site of the Treasury Building in 1986, previously the headquarters of state investment firm Temasek Holdings.<\/p>\n

Forbes<\/a> reports that the building will likely be completed in 2028.<\/p>\n

The building will house commercial establishments, offices and residences<\/h3>\n

CNA<\/a> In addition, it establishes that the development will occupy up to 148,450 square meters of total gross surface area.<\/p>\n

To fill this huge space, plans show the new development will contain the following components:<\/p>\n

Retail Restaurant Office Residential Hotel<\/p>\n

There will also be an underground pedestrian link, although no information is currently known about where it goes and where it leads from.<\/p>\n

As a rapidly evolving city, we are no strangers to new developments popping up in Singapore from time to time.<\/p>\n

With a new skyscraper on the way, we’re sure the CBD will look even more stunning and impressive once it’s ready.<\/p>\n
