Ghanaian giants Asante Kotoko have confirmed former Burkina Faso international Seydou Zerbo as the club’s new head coach, following Ghanasoccernet.com’s exclusive revelation of the experienced coach’s imminent appointment.<\/strong><\/p>\n Zerbo arrived in Ghana last night to conclude negotiations and other paperwork, as exclusively revealed by Ghana’s leading soccer news group, GHANAsoccernet.com.<\/p>\n The 59-year-old who is nicknamed ‘Krol’ after Dutch tactician Ruud Krol is a replacement for Dr Prosper Narteh Ogum, who recently resigned from his post.<\/p>\n He has signed a one-year contract with the Porcupine Warriors with an option for another year.<\/p>\n Dr. Ogum guided the Ghanaian giants to the Ghana Premier League for the first time in eight years.<\/p>\n Zerbo’s last job was managing the national team of Burkina Faso at the CHAN 2020 tournament in Cameroon. The Stallions made it to the group stage.<\/p>\n The highly-rated tactician began his coaching career in the 2013-14 season when he was in charge of Rail Club du Kadiogo.<\/p>\n He later coached at Bankuy Sports from 2014 to 2016 before moving to SONABEL and giants ASFA Yennenga.<\/p>\n Zerbo’s last team was the Union Sportive des Forces Arm\u00e9es before taking charge of the local national team.<\/p>\n
