The two worst words in sports: time delay.

NASCAR fans have had to deal with some rough weather at times this season, including Sunday afternoon when the Cup Series race was delayed.

Luckily, things seem to be clearing up, for now.

“The rain has held off for much of the track. No estimate for the start of the race. It will probably take at least 90 minutes to dry out (wind/sun dependent) but rain is also possible more. The race would take 2.5-3 hours. Sunset 8:49p ET. No lights. Lap 100 or later would be an official race if it rains,” reports Bob Pockrass.

Let’s hope things clear up soon.

It’s been a tough day for the racing world.

Let’s hope we have a clearer afternoon.
