Green Thumb Industries Inc (OTCMKTS: GTBIF) has announced a grand opening on October 16 for its expanded store, Rise Mundelein. It will include a ribbon-cutting ceremony and a guest and patient appreciation. The mayor of Mundelein, Steve Lentz, will attend the event.
Mundelein has been an essential location for Green Thumb since opening the Rise store
According to Ben Kovler, the founder and CEO of Green Thumb, Rise Mundelein has been monumental to its growth since it became its first store in Illinois in 2015. It was also one of the first stores in Illinois to sell adult-use cannabis in 2020. As more Americans continue to use cannabis to improve their well-being, the company will use Rise Mundelein to enhance customer experience.
Mayor Lentz adds that Green Thumb has been an essential partner for the community since it opened Rise Mundelein in 2015. He also looks forward to the grand opening, which will be a chance to celebrate.
Sasha Adler Design, a prominent interior design firm, did the renovations on the store’s interior. It has an open bar to allow individualized consultations. It will also enable more educational areas, more points of sale, pop-up shops, and interactive product displays.
The store will offer a reservation-based purchase and in-store consumption of cannabis. It will be the first cannabis store in Illinois to give cannabis patients roll-through car service for pick-ups.
