Police answer to shots fired on Mt. Mazama street in Hill district; incident resolved

Armed officers from the McMinnville Police Department, the Yamhill County Sheriff’s Office and surrounding law enforcement agencies, along with medical teams, responded to shots fired Saturday morning at a home on Mt. Mazama between the street Mt. Washington and Southwest Second.

Neighbors said they heard several shots fired. After more than three hours, the scene was resolved without further incident.

McMinnville City Council member Sal Peralta posted on Facebook around 1:45 p.m. that police arrested the suspect minutes earlier.
