Charles Barkley’s dance with the LIV Golf Series has come to an end.

The NBA Hall of Famer told the New York Post on Friday that he had ended discussions with the Saudi-backed organization and will remain committed to Inside the NBA on TNT.

“I want to thank Greg Norman and LIV for their interest in me,” Barkley said, according to sports media reporter Andrew Marchand. “I wish these guys great success and nothing but the best. But in my best interest, and to be fair to Turner, because Turner and basketball have given me everything in my life, it’s best for me to move on Go ahead and I’ll stay with Turner for the rest of my television career.”

The world of sports media reacted on Twitter to this news.

Countless fans are thrilled that Chuck is still a member of one of the most beloved sports shows in history.

“We are all grateful!!!!!!! NBA TNT just wouldn’t be the same without Ole Chuck!” one wrote

“Thank God. I need more time with Chuck on TNT,” said another.

“Chuck complaining all season about all the money he spent is going to be great comedy,” joked another.

LIV had yet to offer Barkley a deal, according to Marchand. He decided to end discussions with the invitational series before they could offer him what was expected to be a massive broadcast contract.

The hugely popular US broadcaster has three years and $30 million remaining on its current deal with TNT.
