Amid an investigation into alleged sexual misconduct by now-former WWE General Manager Vince McMahon, WWE found that personal payments made by McMahon were “higher than previously reported.”

For Variety.com:

World Wrestling Entertainment revealed that two additional amounts totaling $5 million were found in addition to the $14.6 million in “certain payments” McMahon made while serving as chairman; bringing his total off-the-books spending to $19.6 million as of 2019.

The wrestling world reacted to the payday news on social media.

“$20 million is a lot of money,” one user responded.

“First they’re coming after Supreme Leader Trump, who we’re not saying was created, but we’re also saying he was created. Now they’re coming after America’s pastime ambassador, Vince McMahon. Defund the FBI and wake up the WWE. – Fox News, probably,” tweeted Nick Mercadante.

“The IRS is going to destroy it,” commented another.

“If they admit he paid 19.6 million, you can bet the real number is much higher.”

WWE also said that it will no longer be able to present its quarterly report this week due to the unexpected amounts of these McMahons.
