Toronto’s Pearson airport now 2nd worst in world for delays. Ottawa says travel woes on the mend

Fátima Sherefa, 17, had a rough night at Toronto’s Pearson Airport on August 6. His flight home from Toronto to Winnipeg had been delayed several times and then, just after midnight, canceled. Sherefa says Air Canada staff did not provide hotel accommodations for the night and instead handed out yoga mats to stranded travelers. Sherefa says she slept on one of the mats on the floor of a women’s infirmary at the airport that night. “It was very frightening, but also a new experience that I don’t think anyone should have to go through,” she said. Connecticut Governor Jams To Country Song Celebrating Marijuana Legalization, Drawing Criticism From GOP Opponent

Connecticut’s governor is belting out a new country song about all the good things about his state, including how “it’s cool to smoke pot” since signing an adult-use legalization bill. Gov. Ned Lamont (D) shared a clip of the song, Rusty Gear’s “First Ever Connecticut Country Song,” which is basically a jingle for the Constitution State. The Scottish aviator who brought the world’s attention to Pennfield, N.B.

James Mollison never intended to end his solo transatlantic flight in New Brunswick. The Scottish aviator was trying to fly from Ireland to New York non-stop in the summer of 1932. He wanted to become the first to fly solo across the Atlantic “the hard way,” from Europe to North America, which meant fighting headwinds the whole way. Mollison’s plane in flight at Nerepis, NB, probably taken while flying from Pennfield to Saint…
