Brazil reported the first monkeypox-related death outside the African continent on Friday, and Spain later confirmed the first known deaths in Europe. The current outbreak began in May, with 20 cases reported in the UK. Since then, it has grown to more than 20,000 cases in 78 countries. Last Saturday, the World Health Organization (WHO) declared the monkeypox outbreak a “public health emergency of international concern,” its highest threat level. Seven people were injured in a shooting in downtown Orlando Saturday night, according to Orlando police. Orlando Police Chief Eric Smith says a large fight broke out shortly before 2:30 a.m. Saturday at Wall Street and South Orange Avenue. During this time, one of the people involved pulled out a gun and fired into the crowd. Six victims were taken to Orlando Regional Medical Center. Seventh went to Advent Health. KeNHA to Close Section of Busy CBD Highway for 2 Days
The Kenya National Highways Authority (KeNHA) has announced that it will close a section of the Uhuru Expressway for two days. In a statement on Friday, July 29, KeNHA alerted motorists that there will be a temporary diversion of traffic on the Uhuru Expressway from the Haile Selassie Roundabout to the Kenyatta Avenue Roundabout.
