MADISON — The health and safety of residents is the number one priority of the newly-formed Ad Hoc Marijuana Advisory Committee, according to Chairman Bruce Wilson. “We want everybody in our community to be safe,” Wilson said after the committee’s first public hearing, March 15. With that in mind, Wilson, hopes for more input from the public and town agencies. “We want everybody in our community to be informed,” he added. March 19, 2022 Every politician who has voted to legalize marijuana (pot) does not deserve praise or respect. AAA wrote years ago that every state which legalized pot saw an increase in auto accidents. Your rules will not keep it out of younger people’s bodies and it does affect older users. It is a drug. Since Connecticut needed more money, income and health benefits to politicians should be lowered. A Connecticut legislative committee on Friday approved a bill that would set the state up to provide certain patients with access to psychedelic-assisted treatment with substances like MDMA and psilocybin. Before the vote, several members of the joint Public Health Committee remarked on the compelling testimony of top military officials, advocates and scientists who spoke about their experiences and the potential impact of the reform at a hearing earlier this week.
