Connecticut man wanted on bench warrant returns to West Virginia, arrested by Clarksburg Police – WV News

CLARKSBURG, W.Va. (WV News) — A 28-year-old Connecticut man is awaiting sentencing after Clarksburg Police recently arrested him on a Harrison County bench warrant. Harrison Circuit Judge James A. Matish had ordered Darean J. Soles arrested on sight Dec. 1. That’s the day that Soles attended his sentencing hearing by phone instead of in person, causing the court to call off the proceeding and sign the bench warrant. Soles now will be sentenced next Monday on the original delivery of methamphetamine conviction, Matish ruled Tuesday. Clarksburg Detective Sgt. NEW HAVEN (AP) — Five students at a Connecticut magnet school were taken to the hospital as a precaution Friday after eating chocolate containing the main psychoactive ingredient in marijuana and becoming ill, officials said. A 13-year-old student at the Bishop Woods School in New Haven gave the edibles to four other students, ages 12 and 13, acting Police Chief Renee Dominguez said.
