The Browns were reportedly hit with some tough injury news on Sunday.
Rookie wide receiver Isaiah Weston is feared to have suffered a torn ACL, according to a report from cleveland.com.
“Isaiah Weston, who was having an excellent camp, was feared to have a torn ACL, source says. It’s not confirmed yet, but it doesn’t look good. The WR camp will likely be joined by David Bell, Anthony Schwartz and Javon Wims also down,” reports Mary Kay Cabot.
It’s a brutal hit for Weston, who had been having a very good training camp.
“Damn. Let’s hope the kid makes a full recovery,” one fan tweeted.
“I just feel horrible for him. I had him as a surprise player to make 53. Honestly, I was on the fence about Woods, but I highly doubt he won’t get it now. He’s looked great in camp so far (no pads that I know. ).Hopefully #Browns put him on IR and he’ll get a chance next year,” one fan added.
“And that’s why you don’t start counting roster spots now. You don’t know what’s going to happen, what injuries might occur. Keep that in mind when you unnecessarily argue the running back decision today,” another fan wrote. .
We hope Weston can make a full recovery.
