Stripper charged after being mistaken for gunman in Perth’s CBD

A male entertainer wreaked havoc in Perth’s CBD on Sunday after concerned workers noticed an armed man outside a jewelery shop and called the police.

Nine News Perth reported that detectives closed off King Street and swarmed the area after several people raised the alarm, there was a man outside Linneys dressed in a SWAT uniform and brandishing an assault rifle.

Chad Satchell, 31, said he was an adult entertainer who had been booked for a nearby party and was preparing his costume on the street.

The outfit allegedly included an ice gun, which is illegal in Western Australia.

He was arrested and has since been charged with possession of a prohibited weapon and being armed in a manner likely to cause fear.

A WA Police spokesman said the Nollamara man would appear in Perth Magistrates Court on Thursday.

“It will be assumed that the man parked his vehicle on King Street and removed a suitcase from the vehicle,” he said.

“It will further be alleged that the man placed an ice blaster gun similar in design to an AR-15 assault rifle on the ground next to him and put on a pair of boots and a vest black military style mesh with “SWAT” embossed on top.back.
