How much do you like pickles? If you’re crazy about cucumbers and dill, it’s time to put that fandom to the test at SONIC Drive-In.
SONIC has brought back its pickle juice for a three-week limited run, available until August 28 or while supplies last. The drink “combines the flavor of a salty dill pickle with a sweet grain for a refreshing treat that tastes just like you’re drinking from the pickle jar,” according to a press release.
Pickle Juice Juice was first introduced in 2018 and is one of the most requested SONIC menu items on social media, the company said. Pickle Flavor is also available to add to other SONIC beverages, including a wide variety of flavored sodas, grains, lemonades and limeades.
That’s not all: SONIC also brought back the Big Dill Cheeseburger, a beef burger with American cheese and lettuce topped with pickled fries, pickle slices and ranch dressing. Pickle Fries, breaded and fried dill pickle spears served with ranch dressing, are also available separately as a side.
“Our menu innovations have become some of the most popular, so much so that they often sell out faster than we expected,” said Mackenzie Gibson, SONIC’s vice president of culinary and menu innovation.
Pickled items are available at SONIC Connecticut locations in Bristol, Danbury, Manchester, Milford, New Britain, New Milford and Wallingford. SONIC offers an extensive menu of hamburgers, sandwiches, chicken, hot dogs, snacks and ice cream.
The Danbury location is Connecticut’s newest, debuting in Hat City on July 21st. The restaurant is located across from Western Connecticut State University at 172 White Street.
