There are seven key races we’re watching in Minnesota and Wisconsin today, the biggest of which is the GOP primary for Wisconsin governor. Former Gov. Rebecca Kleefisch and construction executive Tim Michels will do so in what polls have shown it to be a tight race. And similar to what we saw in Arizona’s gubernatorial race last week, this is once again a race where we have a Trump-endorsed outsider against a more established Republican politician. But in an interesting twist, it actually is sticky i not Michels who has been more adamant in claiming that the 2020 election was fraudulent.
Is tonight important too? Minnesota’s 1st District Special Election. And as Nathaniel noted earlier, the special elections so far have been a mixed bag for Democrats and Republicans this cycle.
It is possible, however, after the Supreme Court’s decision to overturn Roe v. Wade, that Democratic voters are more motivated than Republican voters. We’ll have to see what the Minnesota 1st results can tell us.
