What CBD research has shown is that it helps reduce inflammation, such as that due to arthritis (by National Library of Medicine). According to board-certified dermatologist Dr. Michelle Henry, these same anti-inflammatory properties can also affect the scalp. “The real asset [ingredient] … it can help psoriasis and eczema,” says Henry Brydie. She adds that CBD oil is a good option for women looking for an alternative to traditional medicine.
Before you go drop a lot of cash on a CBD product that promises you’ll have lovely, full locks like Timothée Chalamet tomorrow morning, wait. “I haven’t seen any studies on that [CBD oil] directly stimulating hair growth,” says Henry.
