Earlier this offseason, Cleveland Browns quarterback Deshaun Watson received a six-game suspension.

The NFL immediately overturned the decision and reportedly wants to see Watson receive a full season-long suspension with a hefty fine as well. With that in mind, Watson is willing to accept a harsher punishment than he received before, but less than what the NFL is willing to give.

According to the Associated Press, Watson is willing to accept an eight-game suspension and a $5 million fine.

Some fans believe a deal is in the works between the NFL and Watson’s camp.

“Deal coming in. The NFL would be dumb to try the NFLPA in court with the threats being made,” one fan said.

“This is literally the best case scenario right now and most likely not going to happen,” one fan said.

“The league is seeking a minimum suspension of 17 games, a significant fine of more than $5 million and wants Watson to be required to undergo evaluation and treatment as determined by medical experts before he can be reinstated. For what would they accept this?” asked another fan.

Will Watson be suspended more than six games?
