Finland’s Prime Minister Sanna Marin said on Friday that she had taken a drug test following video footage released earlier this week of her partying with friends, vowing that she had never taken drugs il legal
“I took a drug test today and the results will come in a week,” he told a news conference. “I have never used drugs in my life.”
Marín added that his ability to perform his duties remained intact during the night in question and that he would have left the party if he had been required to work.
Video clips of Marin partying with well-known Finnish influencers and artists began circulating on social media this week and were soon published by various media outlets in Finland and abroad.
Marín had faced calls for a drug test from politicians in his governing coalition as well as the opposition after the videos emerged.
