Connecticut saw clear skies and high temperatures Sunday, and the National Weather Service predicted more for the rest of the week. “The main story this week will be the heat”, a Sunday morning update from the NWS forecast office in Upton, NY read. “High pressure builds up on Wednesday but weakens and we are under the influence of strong high pressure offshore,” the forecast said. “This allows a southwesterly flow and a warm moist air mass to come in.” The heat will peak Thursday, with temperatures in the mid-90s to low to mid-100s in the region, the weather service said….
