CT state trooper sergeant suspended after misdemeanor

MIDDLETOWN, Conn. (WTNH) – A Connecticut State Sergeant has been suspended following an investigation into a July 24 car crash, according to police. The investigation concluded Sgt. Catherine Koeppel was at fault for rear-ending another vehicle on Route 7 North in Brookfield. No injuries were reported. Koeppel was issued a misdemeanor summons on July 27 for following too closely and evading responsibility. She was released on $500 non-surety bond and is due in court Aug. 9 in Danbury. Austrian leaders called for national unity after a doctor facing death threats from anti-vaccination campaigners and conspiracy theorists over the coronavirus pandemic took his own life. “Let’s end this intimidation and fear. As snakes become more active this season, the state environmental agency is telling people the reptiles pose no threat if left alone. Third person charged over stabbing murder in Adelaide CBD

Police were called to North Terrace, Adelaide, shortly after 2am on April 25 after a man was found lying in the road, suffering from multiple stab wounds to the chest. The 25-year-old Victorian man died at the scene. Police earlier alleged that the killing was the result of escalating violence between two youth gangs.
