Europeans are becoming more open to embracing cannabis legalization, according to new polling data released by Hanway Associates and reported by Curaleaf International, one of the vertically integrated marijuana companies in Europe. The survey questioned more than 9,000 people, out of which 55% said they are in favor of legal recreational cannabis, 20% said they were indifferent and the remaining 25% were against it. COLUMBUS, Ohio — Ohio medical marijuana regulators want to double the number of dispensary licenses in the state to satisfy patient demand, which has been much higher than anticipated since the program became operational. Currently, there are 58 dispensaries throughout Ohio. Ohio Board of Pharmacy staff are working on adding 73 new dispensary licenses, said Justin Sheridan, the board’s director of medical marijuana operations, at a Thursday cannabis discussion at Ohio State University’s Moritz College of Law. MIDDLETOWN — Adela Santiago, who suffered a permanent spinal injury two years ago, says she often has to trek more than 2 miles in her wheelchair to her job as a tutor and interventionist at Middletown High School.
