Greenwich stabbing suspect violated house arrest to ‘smoke marijuana,’ prosecutor said – Greenwich Time
STAMFORD — A New York man facing felony assault charges for a 2020 stabbing had his bond hiked by $250,000 after he violated his house arrest to “smoke marijuana,” a state prosecutor said. Alan Lagunes, 19, was taken into custody by Stamford Superior Court marshals Wednesday afternoon following a negative report filed by his probation officer. Assistant State’s Attorney Daniel Cummings said the officer reported that Lagunes, who faces a first-degree assault charge stemming from a April 2020 stabbing in Greenwich, told him “without hesitation” that he had violated court-ordered house arrest earlier this year in order to “go on…

The long-feared storm has broken, following Russian President Vladimir Putin’s invasion of Ukraine. For longtime observers of this part of the world, there’s a certain inexorable logic to this grim moment. The process of cultural loosening that began with the Soviet…

GOP Congresswoman Says Her Marijuana Legalization Bill Will Get A Hearing In Democratic-Controlled Congress – Marijuana Moment
With at least five competing cannabis legalization bills in play this session in Maryland, the state’s Senate president weighed in on Friday about how he’d like to see lawmakers proceed during the remaining weeks of the legislative session. The House of Delegates passed legislation last week that would ask voters whether to legalize cannabis for adults in the state, as well as a separate bill that lays out related criminal justice reforms. Towns Weigh Bans on Shops Selling Marijuana, But Law Allows Delivery Door-to-door – CT Examiner

Opinions expressed by Entrepreneur contributors are their own. Donkeys shouldn’t do dabs, according to a new study. Why are scientists studying the effect of weed on donkeys? Call it an unhappy accident. After two donkeys in Kanasa were fed cannabis buds, they became depressed and lethargic. Local veterinarians suspected the donkeys were victims of a suspected case of marijuana toxicosis. They studied plasma samples from the animals during the time they were high— a period that lasted for more than a day — found the animals suffered from a variety of symptoms, including problems with coordination and a rapid heartbeat.
