The Best Doughnut Places Across The US – Tasting Table

Sweet Coloradough was voted “Best Doughnuts in Colorado” by Travel + Leisure and widely beloved in the Centennial State and beyond. We can’t say we’re surprised. The only problem we have with Sweet Coloradough is the ability to make up one’s mind as to what doughnut treat to indulge in first.  So you can fully understand our concern, you need to know just how many categories there are. First, there are Coloradough’s Semi Super Awesome Doughnuts, which include twists, bars, and crème filled Bismarcks. Up next for your consideration are the 11-Layer Croughnuts (a croissant-doughnut hybrid with flakiness and crispiness in…

If You Want to Smoke (Christmas) Trees, Ask Santa for These Strains

The holidays feel like a time of year tailor made for creating wonderful sensory memories. Be it the comforting aroma of freshly baked gingerbread men wafting over the kitchen or the taste of a stiff eggnog, our various end-of-year celebrations and traditions are often packed with plenty of signature flavors and smells. Though cannabis may not be on that list for everyone, it is a plant that relies on the very same aromatic compounds at the heart of everything from mistletoe to hot chocolate: terpenes. Today, terpenes are rapidly becoming an everyday part of the modern cannabis consumer vernacular. Found…

2021 Year-in-Review | Foley Hoag LLP – Cannabis and the Law – JDSupra – JD Supra

2021 has been a big year for the cannabis industry. We have seen several states pass legislation either permitting adult use, or permitting or expanding a medical marijuana program. Iowa Democrats Announce Plan To Let Voters Decide On Marijuana Legalization Amid GOP Resistance – Marijuana Moment

A bill to require the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) to conduct clinical trials into the therapeutic potential of marijuana for military veterans would have a negligible fiscal impact, according to a new analysis from the Congressional Budget Office (CBO). Another Washington City Moves To Decriminalize Psychedelics, With Unanimous Council Vote – Marijuana Moment

Another city has joined the movement to decriminalize psychedelics, with lawmakers in Port Townsend, Washington unanimously approving a reform resolution on Monday. The proposal, which was crafted with input from a coalition of psychedelics activists, makes it so enforcement of laws against entheogenic substances like psilocybin, ayahuasca and ibogaine are among the city’s lowest priorities. It also expresses the support of the City Council for broader decriminalization in Washington State and at the federal level. Port Townsend “maintains that the abuse of controlled substances should be understood primarily as a public health issue,” the text of the resolution says. Prior…

As I said at the time, I did so to double down on my commitment to ending this nearly century-long policy of prohibition and to replace it with a more sensible approach — one that respects both public health and America’s cherished civil liberties. One that promotes personal freedom and responsible behavior. I knew 2021 was going to be a great year for our movement, but it exceeded even my wildest expectations. In just the first few months of the year, we saw five states…
