The Alliance for Cannabis Equity is a collaboration between ConnCORP, a community development organization, and The WorkPlace, a workforce development group. BRIDGEPORT — Despite efforts by state lawmakers to de-criminalize and de-stigmatize the recreational use of marijuana, Connecticut’s largest city is, for now, treating pot like porn and similarly tucking away the new industry in the few neighborhoods set aside for adult entertainment. “It’s absolutely asinine,” local state Rep. HARTFORD — A city man was sentenced Wednesday to more than six years in prison after officers found 500 grams of cocaine in his home in 2019, according to federal prosecutors. In October 2019, Jonathan Contrera, also known as “Hollywood,” 29, was caught selling 3.5 grams of cocaine, according to federal court documents. Police found an additional 3.5 grams of cocaine in Contrera’s car that day, prosecutors said. After Contrera’s arrest, police raided his home and found about 500 grams of cocaine, 20 grams of crack and items used to process and package narcotics to sell, prosecutors said. Police also…
