Federal Courts In Two US Territories Hosting Event On Marijuana Legalization’s Tourism Impact – Marijuana Moment
A board member and former chairman of the federal National Credit Union Administration (NCUA) is sharply criticizing Congress for failing to reform marijuana laws, and he announced on Thursday that he will be taking steps to push lawmakers to enact policy changes to help financial institutions and stakeholders caught in the federal-state cannabis conundrum. NCUA’s Rodney Hood said at the PBC Conference that he’s “concerned that the legal and regulatory infrastructure surrounding the cannabis industry is not evolving quickly enough,” and congressional inaction is largely to blame. Of course, most people don’t want any bears nearby. But then they don’t like the idea of shooting them either, even as bear sightings have increased sharply in the state in recent years, along with home break-ins by bears, bear damage to crops and livestock, and highway crashes caused by bears. The logic of Connecticut’s laissez-bear policy is that eventually every town in the state will have at least a few…

If all goes according to plan, Wepa! — which has five full-time employees — will get licenses to grow and sell cannabis to the recreational market. “Ultimately we will enter the lottery…

But they were pressed for time and will now be working with a recently established psychedelic research center at Harvard Law School to more…
