Leonard C Boyle, Acting United States Attorney for the District of Connecticut, announced that MICHAEL LEDBETTER, 30, of Hartford, was sentenced today by U.S. District Judge Stefan R. Underhill in Bridgeport to 27 months of imprisonment, followed by three years of supervised release, for distributing cocaine and marijuana while on federal supervised release. According to court documents and statements made in court, on November 17, 2017, Judge Underhill sentenced Ledbetter to 15 months of imprisonment and three years of supervised release for possession of ammunition by a felon. ENFIELD — The Town Council is taking steps to possibly prohibit cannabis establishments from opening in town in the wake of the state recently legalizing recreational marijuana. Possession and use of small amounts of marijuana for people age 21 and over became legal in the state on July 1, with Connecticut becoming the 19th state to legalize the drug. Retail sales of marijuana in the state are expected to happen sometime in 2022.
