Millers Pond State Park in Haddam was the first to close for the day at about 9:27 a.m., officials said. Mount Tom State Park in Litchfield was next at around 10:41 a.m., followed by Sleeping Giant State Park in Hamden and Bigelow Hollow State Park in Union, which closed around 11:37 a.m. and 13:37, respectively.
