Westport Recreational Marijuana Businesses Banned For Now: Report – Patch.com

WESTPORT, CT — Businesses related to the sale or purchase of recreational marijuana are temporarily prohibited in Westport as of Wednesday, the Connecticut Post reports. The temporary prohibition was approved this month by the town’s Planning and Zoning Commission. According to the Connecticut Post, P&Z officials said they wanted more information and time to properly explore the issue as there are currently too many unanswered questions about how these businesses would affect the town. The resolution is in response to a state law legalizing adult use and possession of recreational marijuana, which is effective as of July 1.

Multiple Connecticut Cities Mulling Public Marijuana Consumption – i95rock.com

I went to the Dead & Company show at the Xfinity Theater in Hartford a couple of weeks ago, and as soon as I pulled into the parking lot, there it was. To quote Don Henley – “The warm smell of colitas, rising up in the air.” What Don was referring to in Hotel California was the smell of weed. Windsor PZC OKs moratorium on recreational pot proposals – Journal Inquirer

WINDSOR — Planning and Zoning Commission members on Tuesday unanimously approved a four-month moratorium on applications for the recreational sale of marijuana, giving them time to hear community feedback before finalizing any regulations. Commission members heard from two residents…
